In the design, the hot surface temperature of the carbon brick should be lowered by the effective heat transfer system of the furnace wall, so that the hot surface of the carbon brick can form a stable slag-iron solidifying layer, and the slag-iron solidifying layer should be used to resist the erosion of hot metal in the hearth and various kinds of machinery so as to realize the longevity of the hearth. In the hearth heat transfer system, the thermal resistance of the carbon brick is the largest, reaching 48%. The heat transfer capacity of the carbon brick wall is very important to the formation of the slag skin of the hearth. From this point of view, the hearth material is too thick, especially the brick lining in the iron section is thickened to 1.9 meters, and the section of the hearth is changed from circular to circular. As a square, this thickening method is harmful. The calculation of cooling heat transfer shows that the thickness of carbon brick lining should not be more than 1 meter. It is very beneficial to apply the thin hearth refractory configuration, to bake the protective carbon brick before opening, and to spray the protective layer with good performance within 1 layer of 100mm in the hearth.
